Class Treat for the Entire Week

Children can wear comfortable slippers or Crocs inside the classroom only. They can also bring in a named cuddly toy (no battery-operated toys, please).

On Friday, children can wear non-uniform and bring in Pokémon cards. However, it is strictly your child’s responsibility to ensure the safety of their cards. Please be mindful of the weather and ensure your child is dressed accordingly.

The children will also enjoy an extended afternoon break.

Next Week

On Monday, we celebrate the Henley Literacy Festival. We will be joining Olaf Falafel for The Far-Out Five: Portal Loo Panic livestream on Monday 5 October 2026 at 10:00am through Schools' Livestream.

Maths

We will have a revision session before completing a maths assessment and then moving on to our next unit, Bridging 100. We will focus on counting forwards and backwards in 10s and adding and subtracting multiples of 10.

English

We will continue with our poetry theme and write a kenning.

Homework

Spellings, reading daily from a variety of genres and using VIPERS questions, practising times tables, maths homework (to be completed over two weeks), a short poem independently written at home.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend, and thank you for your continued support.
