Welcome back!

2 September 2026 (by Alice Fletcher-Single (afletcher-single))

Welcome back, parents and carers!
It has been a wonderful first day back - lots of enthusiasm, energy and positivity in Endeavour today. The class have been learning all about our routines, what lessons will look like as mixed and separate year group cohorts and have been introduced to the topic this term, 'Why does population change?'.
Useful vocabulary for this topic is below.
population
The number of people living in a particular place.
densely populated
An area that contains many people relative to its size.
sparsely populated
An area that has few people relative to its size.
population density
A measurement of how many people are within a certain area.
population distribution
How people are spread across a specific area.

I will update this class page on the website weekly, so please do check regularly and let me know if you need help to access it.

PE will be on Monday and Wednesday for year 6 and the children should wear PE kit to school. Year 5 have Forest School on Wednesdays and should bring their clothes in a bag.

The class have all been told what they should have each day in their bags: Water bottle, planner, class text (The Boy at the Back of the Class) and a writing pen. Any blue or black roller ball ink pen (not biro) is fine. They can have a pencil case with them if they would like to, but this is optional as they use school equipment in the mornings.

It has been a fantastic start to the term - well done, Endeavour (and parents/carers)!
I suspect they will sleep well tonight - they have taken in a lot of information and done a lot. Please don't worry if your child seems tired or overwhelmed- it can take a while to settle back in as you know, but they have all done so incredibly well today!

Please do email with any questions you may have. I do not have class email groups set up yet, but this will be done in the next week or so.
