The class will write a biography on Matthew Henson an African-American explorer who, alongside Robert Peary and four Inuit guides, became the first people to reach the geographic North Pole on April 6, 1909.

Maths

We will have started a new unit on Time. This week we will look at before and after, Days of the week and months of the year, and hours, minutes and seconds.

Science

We are continuing the unit on identifying plants. This includes learning to identify and name a variety of common wild and garden plants, including deciduous and evergreen trees, and identify and describe the basic structure of a variety of common flowering plants, including trees.
