Welcome to the final term 01/06/2622 May 2026 (by Sonia Coles (scoles)) |
I can't believe we are now entering the final term of the academic year! Before that, I really hope you all have a well-deserved break from school and get to enjoy the very hot weather.
Science:
Over the last two weeks, the children have been learning about roots, leaves and stems, and their functions in a plant. We have conducted a few experiments and learnt some new scientific vocabulary.
English:
Children will be learning about our new history topic on Ancient Egyptians and what was important to them. They will also be writing a set of instructions using their previous knowledge on how to write instructions for mummifying a tomato.
Maths:
We are starting a new unit on telling the time. Please could I request that your child practises learning and telling the time using both an analogue and a digital clock.
Tuesday:
We will be going to the Quad Kids event that was previously cancelled due to the weather. Please could I ask that all parents complete the permission form before this date.
Homework:
Maths homework has been set on Atom Learning. There are no SPaG booklets this week; however, all children must research information on the Ancient Egyptians ready for their first week back, Times table practise and reading for leisure for at least 10 mins daily.
Wishing you all a lovely week and a restful break.
