It was lovely to see you all at Parents’ Evenings during the week. It is always a pleasure to meet parents, celebrate achievements and discuss progress. Thank you all for continuing to support your children’s education so brilliantly.

Last week It was assessment week and they all worked hard to show off their understanding of learning so far. Well done all of you!

We had fun on Tuesday in the circus workshop where children showed some

impressive skills – who knew so many are jugglers, plate spinners and diabolo masters?

There is another HYF event next week we have an art session booked in with Emily Cooling. In preparation for this, please do some more raiding of recycling bins. We will need any of the following:

Amazing Animals Headdress Workshop
Henley Youth Festival

We will be making fantastic animal headdresses using recycled materials. Please help by collecting clean materials from home and bringing them into school. If possible, please sort items into bags by colour (for example: greens together, shiny items together, animal prints together).

 

Things to Collect

  • Animal print paper, fabric or packaging
  • Wrapping paper or coloured paper/card
  • Plastic green bottles
  • Plastic bags (any colour)
  • Plastic food trays (gold or silver ones are great)
  • Sweet or chocolate plastic trays
  • Crisp packets
  • Sweet wrappers
  • Fruit nets (orange or lemon nets are perfect)
  • Bubble wrap
  • Packing materials
  • Ribbons
  • Milk bottle tops or bottle lids
  • Old Christmas decorations or shiny things
  • Fake flowers, leaves or old garlands

 

Homework

Maths -  Y4 Mulitplying by 10 and 100 (on paper)

Maths on Atom Y5 – Length and Perimeter, Line Graphs and Tables

Spellings – weekly spellings or SNIP spellings

English Skills – please complete the next test in the booklet

Times Tables practice – 5/10 minutes several times a week.
