Term 3 Week 1 in Adventure11 January 2026 (by Elle Freeman (efreeman)) |
Welcome back to Adventure Class on the first week of Term 3. As you will know our topic this term is: What is the weather like? We have made a fantastic start to our learning so far!
We have begun looking at new countries daily, seeing their weather, environment and temperature. It has allowed us to think of lots of amazing questions we would like to find out, such as;
- What kinds of animals live in the savannah?
- Where do wolves (and many other animals) live?
- What are caves like?
- What’s the hottest place in the world?
- How is the UK different to other places?
We’ve started back up with phonics and maths, sharing weekend news and changing our reading books. Please do continue to send over your lovely photos, it is a real joy to share them with each other.

In EAD: We will be looking at backgrounds and foregrounds. Using our colour washed environment themed backgrounds painted last week, and adding details through cut outs.
In UTW: We will look at differences between the UK and other countries. Animals, environments and temperatures.
In Literacy: We are reading Walking Through the Jungle, and will be practising retelling a story and making our own storyboards.
PE: We will get back on track with PE this week (adverse weather and an uncomfortably chilly hall made it tricky last week!) and focus on gymnastics.
