The Penultimate Week of Term4 December 2025 (by Sarah Roberts (sroberts)) |
Not long to go now until the end of term but we still have plenty going on.
Next week, we will bring our History topic to a close. It has been a fascinating journey back in time; we have visited the court of Henry VIII, learned about the lives and fates of his numerous wives and been a bystander in the crowd as Elizabeth I graced the town of Worcester on her royal progress. Children have shown great interest and excellent insight as we have studied the evidence presented in a variety of source materials and made deductions about how people lived in Tudor England.
Next week
Christmas Singing at the Senior Citizens’ Christmas Lunch
On Wednesday 10th December, the Upper School are singing over at the Village Club to provide entertainment (between the main course and pudding, I believe) at the Senior Citizens’ Christmas Lunch. We have been practising hard and it is sounding great!
Children may wear a Christmas hat or similar but must also wear full school uniform.
Homework:
- English Skills – Test 9 – please make sure that children are completing the weekly homework
- Reading – Read the next chapter of Treason (see note in planners)
- Spellings – weekly spellings to learn – we are on week 6.
- Y4 Atom maths – Length and Perimeter
- Y5 Atom maths –
- Y4 / Y5 Times Tables Practice – online (TT Rockstars and White Rose 1 Minute Maths app are useful) or any other way of practising – games, reciting, having someone test you, writing them out or using double-sided cards.
Have a great week!
