Next Week in Investigator T2Wk421 November 2025 (by Sarah Roberts (sroberts)) |
This week has been a busy one, as usual. The snow on Wednesday was an unexpected event and obviously very exciting for the children (and adults too!). Unfortunately, we could not let anyone outside to play because they were not properly dressed for it. If snow is forecast, please come to school well prepared, because we would love to allow children out to play. A change of footwear and warm, waterproof coats are essential.
Coming up next week
Next week in History, we will explore the use of propaganda by a monarch as we find out how Elizabeth I used a royal progress.
In English writing, pupils will write an eye-witness account of Elizabeth’s Worcester royal progress.
Don’t forget!
Children’s home-made Christmas stars are due in on Friday of next week. This is a house competition, so please encourage your children to enter and earn points for their house. The overall winner’s star (as well as earning an additional 50 points) will take pride of place – at the top of the tree! Stars must be made out of recycling materials.
Homework:
- English Skills – Test 7 – please make sure that children are completing the weekly homework
- Reading – Read pp 67-71 of Treason.
- Spellings – weekly spellings to learn
- Maths – Y4 are practising Rounding – a double-sided worksheet. Y5 Atom maths - Equivalent Fractions
- Y4 / Y5 Times Tables Practice – online (TTRockstars and White Rose 1 Minute Maths app are useful) or any other way of practising – games, reciting, having someone test you, writing them out or using double-sided cards
Have a great week!
