Looking ahead 24.11.25

21 November 2025 (by Alice Fletcher-Single (afletcher-single))

A great week this week with  snow (!), the space assembly, our Tudor work in History and English and our first singing rehearsals for Christmas!

Endeavour have worked so hard this week - two highlights for me were the PSHE Friendship presentations (they advertised the qualities of a good friend!) and the 'I get it!' moments during our fractions maths lessons with year 6. In English, years 5 and 6 have done some fantastic writing - A formal report on Henry VIII and Tudor marriage and some fantastic diary entries from Anne Boleyn!

Looking ahead to next week...

More singing rehearsals and festivities (The children were told today that the Christmas star competition starts on Monday and they need to bring them in by the 1st December. The Christmas tree will be going up on 28th December).

Assessments will be happening throughout the school next week in core subjects. I have spoken to the class, they know we are going to start (year 6) looking at (and having a go at)  SATS papers before Christmas, just to be familiar with them and so they know what to expect!

Homework is on Atom for maths, there is also an optional fractions practice sheet for some who (very impressed) requested some practice for at home!

English homework in the skills books needs to be done by next Friday. These are really useful tasks that are proving to be very beneficial to those children who complete them, especially in our SPAG lessons.

Reminder that school photos are being taken again (!) on Friday 28th.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
