Week ahead 3.10.25 3 October 2025 (by Alice Fletcher-Single (afletcher-single)) |
A sunny walk for in Nettlebed (with a park play stop of course!), science experiments with crisps and candles, incredible class performances of poetry and a skipping workshop! What a week! The children each performing a poem in front of the whole class was definitely my highlight of the week - such a brave thing to do and they spoke so well!
Coming up...
Next week we will be discussing chapter 8 of King of the Cloud Forests (please finish the chapter at home - it can be read aloud, read silently or you can read it to them! )
In writing we will be writing our own setting descriptions to go with our character from the book. The children have done some fantastic descriptions of Ashley and the yeti! We will be starting a unit on division in Maths and will be looking at what makes a healthy lifestyle in Science, ending with some fun ukulele playing in music next Friday!
A couple of reminders- Larger and larger pencil cases/boxes of colouring pens have been appearing in the classroom and they take up a large part of the desks! For this reason I have asked they keep them in bags or trays until they need them for colouring/break times etc.
PE days are Monday and Wednesday, on all other days normal unform should be worn.
Homework - Atom for maths and reading. Next week I will be giving out the English homework booklets.
Well done to all this week, have a wonderful weekend!
