A massive thank you to Jessie Grimond and Holly Rosier for inviting Discovery to The Nettlebed Estate and for giving us all such an informative, fun learning experience. The children truly had a wonderful time and learnt so much more about our topic on settlements and plant life.

The week ahead, we will be writing a biography on Roald Dahl. Homework has been set in your child's planner to enable them to research facts and gather information that will support their writing. Biography writing will be set for the rest of the week in our English lesson.

Maths- Continuation and completion of our topic on Fraction B. We will then move onto our next topic Money. We have spent considerable time in class finding the fractions of a set of objects using both unit and non unit fractions. Please could I request that children practise this at home to be secure. Homework this week has also been set this week to ensure that children get adequate practise. I would  encourage using a bar model and drawing with larger numbers.

Afternoon lessons will carry on as normal this week.
