Highflyer Class Term 4 Week 628 March 2025 (by Dorothy Wyatt (dwyatt)) |
31 March 2025
For the final week of Term 4, our topic studies the British astronaut, Tim Peake, and his journey into space in 2015. We will look back over our learning this term and create a timeline of the events we have found out about. It has been a lovely topic to study and everyone has really enjoyed learning about the history of flying.
Events
Star of the Term Assembly - THURSDAY at 2.45 pm.
Term ends on FRIDAY at 1.30pm.
Forest School continues on Tuesday and P.E. on Thursday as timetabled.
Please remember to send in your child's planner with their shared reader- Why do Stars Twinkle? Just a reminder to send in any previous loaned books from home - thank you. There are still a few outstanding.
Our phonic focus is: Week 6 Review and consolidation of this term. We will be looking at the sounds we have covered and making the word families to help us create rhyming phrases. No spellings will be given this week.
Maths is continuing with using and applying the units of mass, capacity and temperature and then using the learning to solve problems. Our mastering number focus is to develop a deeper understanding of strategies to calculate and help problem solve as well.
Also, please remember to return the weekly maths homework by Friday of each week.
Have a lovely week last week of Term 4 and we wish you all a very Happy Easter. See you next term!
