Week Ahead In Discovery 10.02.259 February 2025 (by Sonia Coles (scoles)) |
This is the final week of term 3! It will no doubt be busy but also an exciting one.
This week has been blocked for science and our topic is 'Animals, including humans.' Looking particularly at nutrition and what the body needs to keep you fit and healthy, the skeleton system and muscles.
We will conduct an experiment to see which fruit juice contains the most vitamin C, handing/ examining chicken bones + looking at deflection. In our muscle lesson, we will look at how muscle work in conjunction.
Maths- We will continue and complete our topic on Length and Perimeter.
Tuesday am - will be an interactive lesson on internet safety.
Star of the term assembly will take place in school at 2:45pm
Homework: Spag booklets & spellings sent home on Friday. Homework on Atom learning has been set this week. Please note that last week's maths homework was set because I felt there was a need to practise multiplication using the partitioning and column multiplication method, so this was a paper version. Occasionally, this need may reoccur, but largely set on Atom learning. If you are unsure about anything then please feel free to speak to me. Children must learn their 36 essential times table facts and read a variety of books at home.
Thank you for your support and wishing you all a good week.
