Highflyer Class Term 3 Week 424 January 2025 (by Dorothy Wyatt (dwyatt)) |
27 January 2025
What a fantastic learning experience we had on our trip last week. At the end of the day, we had a greater understanding of the wonder of our world from the 'micro' aspect. After a woodland walk and exploration in the morning, we discovered that this area was abounding with life - if we were just to search and observe. Later, we looked at life in other habitats, including doing some 'hedge bashing'. We had a great day and the weather was perfect too.
As a consequence, the weekly spellings did not take place; so there is an extra week to practise!
Special events: this week is National Story telling week.
Forest School is on Tuesday and P.E. on Thursday as timetabled.
Our phonic focus is: Week 4 Words ending in: –y (cry) Contraction: doesn’t
Maths continues with our multiplication and division, quite a large unit of work. Mastering Number continues with looking at how 'teens' numbers are '10 and a bit'. Also, please remember to return the weekly maths homework by Friday of each week.
Wishing you all a lovely week.
