Endeavour Class: Term 3, Week 212 January 2025 (by Kerry Burbedge (kburbedge)) |
What a lovely first week back we had - if a little tiring! The children coped amazingly with the adverse weather conditions and did get a little time out in the snow.
In geography this week, we will be exploring the cocoa farming trade, largely from west Africa. We will also learn and understand what is meant by 'fairtrade'. From this learning, we will be then write a non-chronological report about the 'journey of the cocoa bean'.
We had some great discussions about food last week. You may notice the children being a little more interested in food labels - particularly fruits and vegetables that are unlikely to be grown in the UK.
Kilvrough Residential Trip
On Wednesday 15th January, 6:00-6.30pm, via zoom, Ms Roberts and I will be holding an online information meeting about our Kilvrough trip. This will be an opportunity to hear about the trip, what the children will be doing, some essential tips on items to bring and a chance to ask any questions you may have. Please do not hesitate to email or catch me at the end of the day, if you wish to speak with me about anything specific you may need help with or advice on.
Have a lovely week ahead.
Mrs Burbedge
