As the final week of Term 2 is upon us, I would like to thank all parents and carers of Investigator children for their continued support. The Autumn term is a long one and naturally culminates in lots of fun and excitement. As such, children are very tired and ready for the break. I will be reinforcing our number one rule: Be Kind. I hope we will be able to have a happy and harmonious final week.

Our Term 2 topic has been fascinating, and children have been able to understand how children’s lives have changed through the ages. Given the choice, I wonder which period of history they would choose to live in.

Some of our Year 5 boys took part in the Y5/6 Boys’ Football tournament at Langtree on Thursday afternoon. There were some impressive skills, exciting matches, and great team spirit to be enjoyed. Special congratulations go to Mohamed and Isaac who were awarded the Olympic Value medals.

Atom Maths logins

Sometimes we ask the children to access their Atom accounts in school. If you have changed your password from the one originally issued, please could you write this in your child’s planner.

Next Week

Monday – Elfridges (love the name!) FONS Secret Present Room

The Secret Present Room will be open for children to buy Christmas gifts for their loved ones on Monday 16th December. Presents will be £2.50 each, with a maximum of 2 per child.  There will be a selection of presents to suit everyone, which will be wrapped and we will help the children to label them, ready to go under your tree. Please send the correct money into class with your child.

Tuesday – Wear your Christmas jumper (don’t forget the Christmas jumper amnesty rail in the reception area – what a fab idea!) for Christmas dinner day. Y5 Forest School in the morning as usual and class parties in the afternoon.

Thursday at 2.45 – Final Assembly: Star of the Term awards, hamper raffle and Christmas singing from the upper school.

Friday – last day and school finishes at the earlier time of 1.30pm.
