Investigator Class are winners
What a wonderful end to the week! The Christmas Tree is up in the reception area and beautifully adorned with the children’s stars. Congratulations to Bela whose star sits atop the tree as the well-deserved upper school winner.
Friday’s assembly held more good news for Investigator Class as they were announced winners of the class house point competition. They will have a two-part treat:
- on Monday they may wear home clothes
- on Friday we will have a further treat session in the afternoon.
Next week’s learning
Our history topic asks the question ‘How and why has children’s leisure time changed?’ Our focus is the Tudor and Victorian eras and a comparison of these with modern times.
Weekend task
Please could children find out how their older relatives entertained themselves as children? What were their favourite games? Where did they play? When were they allowed to play?
Christmas Singing
Christmas song practice is coming along nicely. The upper school will be singing at the senior citizens’ lunch on Wednesday 11th December and for the end of term school assembly. Here are a couple of links to some karaoke versions of songs that children are less familiar with:
Events next week:
Monday – home clothes for Investigator Class
Tuesday - Y5 Forest School
Thursday pm – Y5/6 Girls Football @ Langtree
Friday – Non Uniform (in exchange for hamper items)
Have a wonderful week!
