The Week Ahead

8 November 2024 (by Sarah Roberts (sroberts))

It has been a super start to Term 2 -well done the Investigators who have bounced back into school with a great attitude to learning.

Our new topic is already in full swing. We have looked at the concepts of continuity and change in the context of children’s lives, focusing on children in the Tudor and Victorian eras. Next week we will find out more about the jobs children had to endure during these periods of history.

Victorians Day at Reading Museum – Monday 18th November

You have received an email from me with details of the upper school trip to spend the day as Victorian children at Reading Museum. All details are in the letter but two important points are worth repeating here:

  • complete the permission form by Tuesday 12th November, indicating whether you want a school packed lunch or not (it will be too late to order one after that date and you will have to provide a packed lunch from home)
  • the museum will provide a Victorian costume for all but children are welcome to wear their own Victorian costume if they wish. School uniform must be worn if children do not come dressed as Victorians.

Homework

  • ES -Section 1- Test 5
  • Atom maths
  • Spellings
  • Reading

Thank you for your continued support in supporting your children to complete their homework regularly.

Special events next week

Freddie van Mierlo, Liberal Democrat MP for Henley and Thame will be joining our whole school assembly on Monday.

School photos on Friday.

Have a great week!
