End of Term 126 October 2024 (by Sarah Roberts (sroberts)) |
A final word from me at the end of a very long term -
We had a great time on our local fieldwork trip – our aim was to find out how our local woodland is used (quite a contrast to the term’s Amazon Rainforest focus). Armed with questionnaires and tally charts, we set off to the commons. As it turned out, there were not many local people out and about on a Thursday afternoon but the few we met were very helpful; special thanks to Tommy’s mum and Ed’s brother for answering our questions! We concluded that our woodland is used primarily for leisure purposes and we certainly had a great time while we were there (see the photo gallery).
Half term homework
Reading, Atom maths and English Skills (Section 1 Test 4)
Looking forward to Term 2
In next term’s topic work, we ask the question ‘How have children’s lives changed?’ This topic has a particular focus on the lives of children in the Tudor and Victorian periods. There will be trip to Reading Museum on Monday 18th November to support our learning.
Goring cross country KS2 event on Thursday 7th November – A form has been sent out to all those who wanted to take part.
Happy half term everyone!
