Endeavour Class: Term1, Week 422 September 2024 (by Kerry Burbedge (kburbedge)) |
The term was in full swing last week - we had a zoom session with the author, Katherine Rundell, author of The Explorer and got some amazing ideas to improve our writing - describing food to draw in your reader! So Simple! We also had our School Council elections on Friday, successful candidates will be informed during assembly tomorrow. The children are settling into the curriculum and the new timetable.
This week, we will be learning about the indigenous peoples of the Amazon rainforest - understanding how people live and survive in the rainforest, learning about the challenges indigenous peoples face.
To support our geography learning, we will be reading, writing and performing some poetry!
Eco Council elections will take place this Friday so if you know your child is interested in becoming a part of Nettlebed's Eco Council, do encourage them to think about their speech.
The weather is set to change this week so please ensure your child has a waterproof coat in school with them. This is to ensure that they can still play outside in damp weather.
Have a great week ahead.
