Endeavour Class: Term 6, Week 6

16 July 2024 (by Kerry Burbedge (kburbedge))

What a lovely week, finished with a brilliant colour run organised by our wonderful FONS team!
Here are some reminders for the forthcoming week.
Wednesday: the children won the class treat last week after gaining the most amount of house points. The children have requested some free time together as well as wearing home clothes. Please just bear in mind whether they have sports clubs after school.
Thursday:  Please can children all come into school in PE kit - there is a very important Y5 vs Y6 rounders match that needs to take place!
Star of the Term and Leavers' Assembly is at 2:30pm - the Y6 children will be taking part in it as their final assembly at Nettlebed! All parents of children that have a Star of the Term certificate and all Y6 parents are invited to attend.
Y6 Leavers' BBQ: this will take place straight after school from 3:30pm, in the Walled Garden. Parents are invited to join us from 5:30, with the event finishing at 6pm. Burgers, sausages, veggie options, corn and salad will be provided. Should your child wish to bring anything else, they are absolutely welcome to. Water and drinks are also provided. Children may bring home clothes to change into but please no mobile phones.
Friday: children are invited to come into school wearing home clothes; please do consider donating any school uniform no longer needed so that it can be sold as part of a FONS second-hand uniform fundraiser or passed on to families that may be in need.
Could children please bring in a carrier bag with them on Friday too? This is so that they are able to carry any books or belongings home as we will be emptying trays and the classroom.
Year 6 children are welcome to bring in a shirt to sign on Friday.
I wish you all a wonderfully relaxing summer ahead with, hopefully, a little more sun!
