Highflyer Class Term 6 Week 65 July 2024 (by Dorothy Wyatt (dwyatt)) |
This week we are writing a tourist guide to St.Ives and encouraging visitors to find out more places around the town. We have also looked at different types of beaches and thought about what different activities can happen at each one.
Phonics
For the remainder of this term we are reviewing and revising knowledge we have practised this year, so there will be a mixed selection of words for the next two weeks. The skills of proof-reading, partner sharing to spot and correct errors and dictation will be also practised.
Maths
Continue practising 2x 5x 10x tables. This week we are looking at statistics - data, graphs and understanding how to 'read' the barchart. We are still using position and points of the compass as it links with our geography and learning compass points.
Events:
Monday - .Watching KS2 performance at 1.30pm. A very humourous play called 'Porridge'. Please provide coats/hoodies as it should be outside.
Tuesday - Forest School - as normal.
Friday - FONS colour run
Have a lovely week!.
