The children have all shown amazing resilience over the last term whether they have been learning in different places or practising and sitting SATs. They are finally over with and normal school life can resume!

The year 6s enjoyed their end-of-SATs celebration this morning with a lovely morning decompressing in the Wild Area – it was brilliant to see them playing and enjoying some stress-free time with snacks. A favourite moment was sitting around the pond with 6 children, spotting newts, dragonflies and tadpoles! It was just what was needed after a tough week. Some incredibly kind year 6s offered leftover snacks to the year 5s once everyone returned to class which was lovely to witness.

Next week we will be working on a design & technology project. If you are able, I would be grateful for any cardboard boxes, kitchen roll inserts, cereal boxes, plastic fruit trays that the children could bring in with them on Monday or Tuesday. We will be designing, making and evaluating a project throughout the week.

Please can all children (year 5 & 6) come into school in PE kit on Monday as we will have a PE as a class.

Wednesday & Thursday – End of year production auditions

Friday – End of term (3:30pm) and home clothes in exchange for a tombola prize for NettleFest.
