Investigator - Final Week of Term 20.5.24

18 May 2024 (by Sarah Roberts (sroberts))

The Quad Kids event last Wednesday was a great success. Year 4 performed very well despite some competitors feeling a little nervous. It was great to see the determination and focus of our children, as well as some impressive athletics skills. It was also heartwarming to see their wonderful support and friendship for each other. Congratulations Year 4 – you did a great job! See the full report in Sports News.

Next week is the final week of term and as ever we have so much to pack in before we break up for half term.

Our history topic concludes as we discuss what changed between the Stone Age and the Iron Age. This has been a fascinating topic and children have impressed me with their understanding and insight into this period of prehistory.

In maths, we will continue our money unit. It was interesting to hear about the Year 4’s experience of using money.  We even debated whether the tooth fairy would ever pay directly into their bank accounts!

Auditions for Porridge, the upper school play, will be held next Wednesday and Thursday. Year 4 are invited to audition for the smaller speaking parts.  Everyone in Year 4 will be in the chorus.

Friday is non-uniform day (in exchange for tombola prizes) and the Star of the Term assembly is at 2.45pm. See you there!

Have a great week!
