Last Week

What a fabulous week we’ve had with so much going on; there were Henley Youth Festival events throughout the week, World Book Day, the Y5/6 netball tournament on Thursday and Let Girls Play on Friday. Thanks for your understanding and support with changes to the  timetable and a different dress code for nearly every day of the week! Children deserve a well-earned rest to recharge their batteries for the week ahead.

Next week’s learning

Geography Topic

Following on from our work on Mountains, we will turn our attention to major rivers of the world and take a look at the formation of a river. Back in India, we will follow the River Ganges from its source high in the Himalayas to the sea where it drains into the Bay of Bengal. We’ll also find out why Hindus consider this river to be holy.

Writing

For the last couple of weeks, children have been getting creative with descriptive writing.  This week they are writing explanation texts linked to our geography topic.

Maths

Year 4 continue the unit on fractions and Y5 continue their unit on decimals and percentages.

Parent Consultations
