Endeavour Class: Term 4, Week 3

3 March 2024 (by Kerry Burbedge (kburbedge))

What a week we had last week! In art, we tried our hands at mono printing a mandala. On Friday, the children had a great time completing the Outstanding Obstacle Course on Friday, followed by some cake to replenish their energy!

This week, we have a jam-packed week of activities too. Beginning with a performance as part of Henley Youth Festival for year 5 and 6 on Wednesday. Then we have World Book Day on Thursday! Children are invited to dress up as a character from a book if they wish and bring in a copy of their favourite book.

On Thursday afternoon, some children year 5 and 6 will be attending a netball tournament - could they please bring their Nettlebed PE kits into school to change into.

Lastly, on Friday we will be joining the #LETGIRLSPLAY initiative on International Women's Day, 8th March. It is an attempt to get as many girls as possible joining a football session. Please can all girls in year 5 wear PE kit on Friday, year 6 will be in PE kit anyway.

In our topic this week, we will be exploring mountains. We will be learning all about the features of mountains in geography then writing some descriptions in English.

There is a lot going on this week so please do email endeavourclass@nettlbed.oxon.sch.uk with any questions or queries or contact Mrs Sedwell in the office if you require a more immediate answer.

Have a wonderful week.

Mrs Burbedge
