Last week we started looking at facts about the features of the country of India and learning where places were by using compass vocabulary.   This week we focus on the people and culture of the country.    Thank you to those that have brought in items to share with the class and also photos and books.  The class have been really absorbed with learning about family details that children have shared - really appreciated.  Do please

Maths - a new unit of work this week - multiplication and division.  This is a large unit with lots of steps of learning, so it will continue to the end of this term.

Phonics focus is irregular plurals - e.g. woman - women.

This week is World Book day on Thursday 7th March.  To celebrate this, a visiting author has been planned to visit to read and talk about his own books he has written and published.   There will be an opportunity to purchase these and obtain a signed copy - this will be via Parent Pay.
