Investigator Class - Term 4 19.2.24

15 February 2024 (by Sarah Roberts (sroberts))

I hope you have all had a good half term break - Welcome back to school for Term 4! It promises to be a busy one as usual with plenty going on and it’s another short one (although thankfully not quite as short as the last).

Geography Topic

We begin our new geography topic which this term focuses on India and asks why the country is sometimes described as a ‘land of contrasts’. India offers a highly diversified geographical, ethnic, cultural, linguistic, political, economic and religious panorama. We begin our research by getting an overview of this fascinating country; we will find out where in the world India is situated and take a look at the diverse regions it has to offer.

Y5 Bikeability

The whole of Y5 are involved in the Bikeability programme on 19th and 20th February. They need to bring their bicycles (and helmets) in for Monday and Tuesday of the first week and wear suitable, comfortable clothing for cycling. Mrs Burbedge sent out the information before the half term holiday – please see the email which I have just resent to Y5 families with all the information you need.

Y4 Swimming

Y4 will be swimming on Tuesday mornings for the whole term.  They will need to bring suitable swim wear (a one-piece costume for girls please), a towel and a swimming hat. Goggles are optional.

Timetable

There will be a couple of changes this term, please see the updated timetable and curriculum information for Investigator Class by clicking on the buttons on the class page.

  • PE is on Monday for Y4/Y5
  • Forest School in on Tuesday for Y5
  • Swimming is on Tuesday for Y4

As ever, if you have questions or queries please do contact me on the class email:  investigators@nettlebed.oxon.sch.uk
