Endeavour Class: Term 3, Week 321 January 2024 (by Kerry Burbedge (kburbedge)) |
We had a great week which began with our visiting Roman Prefectus - he described how a Roman fort worked and the children enjoyed a range of workshop which involved making wax tablets, herbal oil bags, mosaics, copper pins and charm bracelets!
This week we will be learning about Roman gladiators; who they were and what they did. We will then write a letter of application to become a gladiator. Next, we will learn about the Roman army, how it was organised and how it became one of the most successful army in the history of the world!
In maths, year 5 will coming to the end of their unit of learning on Multiplication and Division and year 6 will be completing and assessing their unit on Ratio before beginning a new unit of learning, all about Algebra.
Please could all year 6s remember to bring two odd shoes into school on Tuesday for their science lesson on classification.
Have a wonderful week.
