Welcome back to term 2! I hope you all enjoyed the half term and the children had a much needed rest.

Our topic this term ' Our Nation Islands'. This is a geography based topic, which will cover the location on a map, countries that form Great Britain and The United Kingdom. Physical and human landmarks, rivers, seas and oceans, capital cities, what is a county and the weather/ climates.

Our writing will be based from our topic and folk tales.

Week 1 and 2 will be based on gathering facts, using an atlas and writing a fact file.

Maths- Continuation of Addition and Subtraction unit, followed by an assessment on the topic covered.

We will also began our new topic on Multiplication and Division. Please ensure your child continues to learn their timetables.

Reading: We have chosen 2 folk tales from the UK. The Tall Tale of the Giants and The Secret of the Kelpie. These are short texts but we will continue to read other books this term.
