Welcome back to school for Term 2! I hope you have all had an enjoyable half term week. As ever, this term promises to be a busy one, not least with the Christmas period of fun and festive activities towards the end of it. Before that we have plenty to pack in!

North America Topic

Our geography topic for Term 2 is North America. We will be researching various aspects of the human and physical geography of this continent. We begin this week with some map work and fact-finding about the countries which make up the third largest continent. We will also look at the states which make up the USA.

Writing

This week's writing will focus on the features of information writing. We will produce fact files and reports detailing our North America research.

Maths

In maths this week the Y4s begin a unit on area and the Y5s continue with multiplication and division.

PE - Please note the following changes to the PE timetable for this term.

Monday - PE for Year 4 and Year 5.

Tuesday - Year 5 Forest School.

Friday - Year 4 PE. (Year 5 will have a weekly Computing lesson at this time).
