What a week! We had our final elections of the year - our School Council elections. A huge well done to everyone who put themselves forward for all the roles - there have been so many brilliant speeches.

This week in writing, we start to look at another character in War Horse - Topthorn. We will retrieve information about him from the book and make our own inferences too. We will then retell part of the story from his point of view. The children are really enjoying the class text and it is a pleasure to read as a group.

In maths, we have moved on to a unit on addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. We will be recapping our previous knowledge before learning new methods of calculation.

Please ensure that the children are completing homework and handing it in on time. Also, a gentle reminder that children should have their planner, pencil case, water bottle and healthy snack with them in school everyday; thank you in advance for your help with this.
