A very warm (literally!) welcome back to school!

We will be delving into our class text for this term - War Horse by Michael Morpurgo and then basing some of our writing on the first few chapters.

In maths, all year groups will begin a unit on Place Value - year 5 and year 6 will be taught separately. There will also be some revision of times tables and number bonds to set the children up for the coming term. All children now have their logins for Times Table Rockstars, please do encourage them to have a practise throughout the week.

We will be working through a timeline of important historical events before working out where our significant battles from our topic fit within it.

Please ensure children come into school with sun cream applied and hats this week. It is crucial that the children also have access to a water bottle throughout the day too.
