This week will focus on settling in, reconnecting with friends, and establishing the rules and routines of the class and school.

Writing

The class will write about themselves and give a recount of what they did over the summer holiday. Pupils may want to bring in something connected with a special outing, event or activity to share with the class and help support their writing.

Phonic/Reading

As it is a short week the children will revisit the Shared reader 32 ‘What Can I do in the Summer’. This links to their writing and aims to consolidate the use of ‘er’ & red words. A digital version can be found here: https://fft.org.uk/success-for-all-phonics-what-can-do-summer/

Maths

The unit this term is Place Value and this week will focus on sorting, counting & representing objects.

PE

Children should wear PE kits to school on Wednesday & Thursday.
